Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, day and night (starting at 6:45 AM/PM), midshifts available, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Manage trauma cases, STEMIs, strokes, and other critical emergencies in a Level III trauma center
Administer common emergency drips including pressors and sedation
Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to deliver efficient patient care
Care for patients in an 18-bed ED including 4 critical rooms
Float as needed to support unit staffing requirements

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia test (83%) before contract start
Comfortable with all common ED procedures and drips

Advanced cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation
Trauma nursing skills for Level III trauma center
Stroke and STEMI recognition and treatment
Pediatric emergency care
Proficient in emergency medication administration
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
Effective communication and teamwork
