Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring patients and postpartum mothers and babies
- Monitor and titrate medications such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other IV drips
- Assess and manage patients from admission through delivery and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with charge nurse and healthcare team to ensure safe patient ratios and outcomes
- Support cesarean sections by circulating for the baby while surgery team manages the procedure
- Float to other units as needed (e.g., helping hands or 1:1 patient sitting)
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted RN license in North Dakota or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or labor and delivery experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (must be current)
- Ability to pass fit testing for N95 respirator (no facial hair that interferes with seal)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for labor and postpartum ratios
- Proficiency in titrating common obstetrical IV medications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a rural hospital setting
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
