Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in both MedSurg and Emergency Department settings
Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers with attention to detail and efficiency
Titrate medications and start IVs, managing PICC and port lines as needed
Actively participate in code responses (cardiorespiratory, stroke, sepsis) and trauma situations
Float between MedSurg and ER to support patient care across the unit
Perform telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

Current RN license in Minnesota required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
Ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced hospital with minimal staff
Comfortable communicating directly with hospitalists and handling multiple patient priorities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Experience with Meditech EMR system
Strong skills in medication titration and code management
Ability to respond to traumas and manage critical patients
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and transfer protocols
