Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Start Date: 06-17-2026
End Date: 09-16-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating call after 4:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying imaging
- Operate GE equipment proficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Collaborate with radiologists and lead tech to ensure accurate results
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients
- Float to Mercy Downtown location as needed (approx 6.5 miles away)
Qualifications
- Valid California NMTL license required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- At least 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience
- Ability to start IVs (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear Medicine and SPECT imaging
- Cardiac imaging and stress testing
- Bone scan and gastric emptying procedures
- Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
- GE equipment operation
