Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and general medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions
• Float across multiple units and facilities within Zone 1, ensuring seamless patient care
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Titrate heparin drips as required and manage patients with various acuity levels
• Maintain a safe and healing environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Colorado or compact state license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with neuro, cardiac, or ortho patients preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and adapt to different facility environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for a dynamic float pool setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of MS-Tele patient care including cardiac drips (e.g., heparin)
• Flexibility to work in various specialties such as rehab, bariatrics, and oncology
• Skill in prioritizing care in a fast-paced, multi-unit float pool
• Ability to handle floating assignments with a positive attitude
