Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekend rotations (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients in our fast-paced PCU
Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate drips like Heparin and insulin
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage a mix of medical, surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients
Participate in frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mindset in a high-flow environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
At least 1 year of recent PCU experience preferred
Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Driver's license required for submittal
Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry
Experience with titration of IV drips (Heparin, Octreotide, Insulin)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to a high-volume unit
Familiarity with LUCAS machines, Hoyer lifts, and other specialty equipment
