Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse adult-geriatric patient population in MS/Tele units across multiple facilities.
• Float within Zone 1 to facilities like Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and St. Mary Corwin, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Monitor telemetry and manage patients with conditions such as cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and more.
• Titrate heparin drips as needed and respond to changing patient acuity.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to maintain optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt to different unit environments, including PCU/Stepdown and MS/Tele, based on assignment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Prior neuro experience preferred but not required
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius across multiple facilities
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for a varied patient population
• Experience with cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, and surgical patients
• Comfortable titrating heparin and other IV drips
• Excellent communication and adaptability for floating assignments
