Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Monitor patient status and maintain a clean, safe surgical environment
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Document surgical procedures and inventory supplies accurately

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of experience in a CVOR or surgical setting preferred
Ability to stand for long periods and handle stressful situations with composure

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control
Knowledge of surgical instruments and their uses in cardiovascular procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
