Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), every 3rd weekend required; 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn patients
Monitor labor progress, administer medications (Pitocin, insulin, etc.) and manage IV pumps (Alaris)
Assist with deliveries and immediate newborn assessment and care
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
Collaborate with charge nurse, physicians, and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes
Document accurately and adhere to hospital policies and unit standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP experience
Ability to pass an open book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Commitment to no artificial nails as per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of maternal-child nursing and fetal monitoring interpretation
Proficiency in IV infusion pumps, specifically Alaris
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to manage 1:2 patient ratio in a 4-bed unit
Flexibility to float to MedSurg if needed (helpful but not required)
