Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to trauma, cardiac, and post-surgical patients in a 33-bed ICU
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nurse aides
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience titrating drips and telemetry monitoring
ICU nursing experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac drip titration and sedation management
Ability to interpret telemetry and EKG strips
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Comfortable with ventilator management (nasal cannula to vent)
