Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, weekend rotation (Nights: Fri/Sat; Days: Sat/Sun), holiday rotation, schedule set 4 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in our Family Birthing Center, from labor and delivery through postpartum
Monitor fetal heart tracings and manage labor using AWHONN guidelines
Assist with cesarean sections and neonatal resuscitation
Titrate and manage IV drips including pitocin and insulin
Educate and support new families during their birthing experience
Collaborate with OB techs, perinatal specialists, and on-call anesthesia

Qualifications

Active California RN license
Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced EFM certifications
At least 1 year of LDRP experience (preferred 3 years) or L&D with OR circulating experience
Comfortable with NRP at delivery; no in-house pediatrician
Ability to titrate drips and manage high-risk deliveries

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in LDRP nursing, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation
Proficiency in perioperative nursing for cesarean sections
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines and fetal monitoring systems (Fetalink)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts
