Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and IR suite for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assist interventional radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment used in the IR suite
• Document patient care and procedure details accurately in Cerner
• Monitor patient status intra- and post-procedure and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain sterile technique and help with procedure setup and breakdown
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and tech staff to support efficient patient flow
• Participate in orientation and ongoing competency training during assignment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant Interventional Radiology or IR technologist experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• License to submit: Yes (state radiology/IR technologist license as applicable)
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems preferred
• Comfort working in an acute care/trauma setting
• Able to complete a 12-hour orientation prior to or at start of assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and suite workflow
• Proficiency with imaging equipment and procedural imaging techniques
• Patient positioning, monitoring, and peri-procedural care skills
• Accurate electronic documentation skills (Cerner experience a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in an acute care, trauma-capable environment
• Team-oriented communication and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
