Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, preserving dignity and comfort
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
- Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and handoffs to the care team
- Follow infection control practices to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Valid authorization to work in California
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads who are certified are welcome
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding assistance, and toileting support
- Comfortable taking and charting vital signs and basic observations
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and mobility techniques
- Basic documentation skills and familiarity with care plans
- Infection prevention and standard precautions awareness
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
