Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to residents
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of resident care and observations
• Assist with mealtime support and feeding as needed with attention to dietary needs
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe care environment
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
• Deliver patient-centered care with dignity, respect, and a smile

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable, caring attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing and personal care skills focused on resident comfort and safety
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Understanding of infection control, resident rights, and HIPAA privacy
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
