Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility needs
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care provided clearly and promptly in the patient record
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and families to support coordinated care
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Eligibility for or active listing on the Pennsylvania CNA registry
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain per facility requirements
• Comfort working overnight hours and supporting a varied patient population
• Strong communication skills, compassion, and teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Comfortable with patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Good observational skills and ability to report patient changes clearly
• Team player who collaborates well with nurses and allied health staff
