Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, helping with daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility while preserving dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate documentation in resident charts and care plans
- Support safe transfers, use of equipment, and fall-prevention measures
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and staff to coordinate care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
- Completion of an accredited nurse aide training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Comfortable working night shifts and able to reliably travel to the Gettysburg Center
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
- Proficient with taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to assist with mobility and safe transfer techniques
- Good time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Basic charting and documentation skills
