Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; days not specified)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and repositioning to promote mobility and prevent pressure injuries
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and maintain dignity at all times
- Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- State-required certifications and licenses for Pennsylvania CNA practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and comply with facility health requirements (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and valid CNA certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADL assistance
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Ability to accurately take vitals and observe/report changes
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
