Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; schedule varies based on facility needs)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and report concerns promptly
Support safe transfers and mobility while following established protocols
Maintain clean, safe, and dignified environments for residents
Assist nursing staff with documentation and care plan implementation
Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
Recent experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care preferred
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in providing ADL assistance (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Basic charting and record-keeping skills
Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with care teams
