Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varied days as scheduled (Per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening (day) shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes
Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention measures
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate observations to the care team
Follow infection control practices and facility safety protocols
Support patient comfort and dignity while building rapport with residents and families
Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Comfortable with hands-on patient care and lifting/transfer techniques
Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled shifts
Previous experience as a CNA is a plus, but dedicated new grads are welcome

Education

CNA certification required
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
Familiarity with vital sign measurement and documentation
Good communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members
Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
Empathy, patience, and commitment to patient dignity
