Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Gettysburg, PA
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift), days vary / as-needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to promote comfort and dignity
- Take and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Document care clearly and communicate effectively with nurses and other care team members
- Support patient emotional needs with respectful, patient-centered interactions
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Comfortable working evening shifts and adapting to variable schedules
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care and ADLs
- Accurate vital signs measurement and observation
- Basic infection control practices and PPE usage
- Clear, concise documentation and handoff communication
- Teamwork, time management, and compassionate bedside manner
