Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Provide compassionate bedside care and maintain patient dignity at all times
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Perform safe transfers and assist with repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Support admission, discharge, and unit flow with efficient, courteous handoffs
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation to Gettysburg Center for assigned shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with patient hygiene, toileting, and feeding assistance
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Time management skills to prioritize patient needs on busy shifts
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
