Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Help patients with bathing, dressing, mobility, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Take and record vital signs accurately and on schedule
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and injuries
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Competent in taking vital signs and documenting observations
- Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
- Basic understanding of patient mobility and transfer techniques
- Clear communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Comfortable working with electronic charting or basic documentation systems
