Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with bedside care, transfers, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team to ensure continuity
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support resident dignity and independence with respect and empathy

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required
• Comfort working night shifts and in a fast-paced care setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation to the Gettysburg Center

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in resident care and assisting with ADLs
• Competency in taking and recording vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
• Clear communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary care team
• Compassion, patience, and attention to detail
