Location: Gettysburg, PA
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support safe transfers and ambulation to promote mobility and independence
- Adhere to infection control protocols and promote a clean, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused care environment
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (state-approved) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Able to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Comfortable with night shift responsibilities and working independently on per diem assignments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; empathy and patience a must
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (state-approved)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in providing ADL support and basic patient care
- Knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
- Familiarity with infection prevention practices
- Comfortable with safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
- Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
