Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, compassionate care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and feeding as needed
- Monitor and report resident changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Support safe transfer and positioning techniques to protect residents
- Collaborate with nurses and support staff to ensure a positive resident experience
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Valid CNA license in Pennsylvania or eligible to work as a PA CNA
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working evening shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required vaccinations
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident mobility
- Basic charting and documentation best practices
- Infection control and hand hygiene principles
- Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes
- Teamwork, time management, and respectful communication with residents and families
