Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to protect residents and staff
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with feeding, personal hygiene, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and families to support coordinated care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Comfortable working independently on per diem schedules
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Willingness to pass required background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic patient care skills including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Safe resident handling and fall prevention techniques
• Clear documentation and charting skills
• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
