Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to preserve dignity and comfort
Monitor and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient mobility and transfers to reduce fall risk
Maintain a clean, organized patient environment and follow infection control protocols
Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care and build trusting relationships with residents
Document care and observations clearly so the care team can make informed decisions

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
Valid Pennsylvania CNA credential or eligibility to obtain state certification
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic vital sign measurement and patient observation
Infection control and safe handling procedures
Clear, timely documentation and communication with clinical staff
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with diverse patient needs
