Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening (2nd) shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to create a positive care environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania
Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and clinical staff
Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening per diem shifts
Comfortable assisting with physical tasks and following safe lifting protocols

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in providing personal care and assisting with ADLs
Knowledge of basic infection control and patient safety practices
Ability to observe, document, and escalate clinical changes
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
Familiarity with charting and basic clinical documentation
Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced care setting
