Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with compassion and dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report meaningful changes to nursing staff
Provide safe transfer and mobility assistance to prevent falls and promote independence
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Document patient care and observations clearly and promptly in the chart or EMR
Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating patient needs and participating in care planning
Promote infection control practices and follow facility policies to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (active and in good standing)
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of a team
Compassionate approach to patient care and respect for resident dignity

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with patient hygiene, transfers, and ADLs
Competent in obtaining and documenting vital signs
Basic infection prevention and control practices
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Clear, professional communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Familiarity with charting and basic EMR documentation (or willingness to learn)
