Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Assist with safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support dining and hydration needs while encouraging independence
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or mood to the nurse on duty
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or completion upon hire if offered)
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts and adapt to a per diem schedule
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable performing physical aspects of resident care and following safety protocols
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering compassionate care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• State-approved CNA training program completion and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control principles and safe handling of linens and equipment
• Effective communication with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems (or willingness to learn)
