Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance to residents
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations
• Support meal times, hygiene, and comfort needs while preserving dignity
• Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — state accepted
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Reliable transportation for per diem shifts and flexible availability
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
