Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem scheduling, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; specific days vary/not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Perform safe transfers, ambulation assistance, and range-of-motion activities
Measure, record, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
Follow care plans and document care accurately to support the interdisciplinary team
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active placement on the Pennsylvania nurse aide/assistant registry
CPR/BLS certification preferred or as required by facility
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Dependable, compassionate attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Experience assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
Strong interpersonal skills and patience when working with older adults
