Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and dignity
• Provide direct and indirect personal care and comfort with compassion and respect
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for facility residents
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, and the care team
• Follow RN/LVN direction and contribute to care plans and resident documentation
• Support resident safety by observing, reporting changes, and escalating concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Current California CNA certificate required
• BLS certification required (Basic Life Support)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work under RN/LVN supervision and follow care plans
• Basic computer skills for documentation and charting
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Direct and indirect resident care and ADL assistance
• Personal care techniques and resident comfort measures
• Maintaining a safe and clean resident environment
• Good interpersonal skills and professional bedside manner
• Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation
• Ability to follow directions from RNs/LVNs and work as part of a team
