Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine physical therapy needs and establish individualized goals
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with the Maryland PT Practice Act
• Deliver therapeutic interventions and progress patients toward functional outcomes
• Document patient status, treatment plans and progress using standardized tests in the EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Manage caseload efficiently while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care
• Treat multiple patient populations, including at least one high-risk population, with competence and compassion

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Physical Therapist license (must be active at time of submission)
• BS, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT, MPT or equivalent)
• Minimum 1+ years of current Physical Therapy/PT experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
• Acute care experience highly preferred; experience across multiple patient populations a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication and excellent customer service skills

Education

• BS in Physical Therapy OR
• Master’s in Physical Therapy OR
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and goal determination
• Treatment plan development and therapeutic interventions
• Proficiency with EMR navigation and basic computer skills
• Documentation using standardized tests to support clinical decisions
• Caseload management and effective time management
• Ability to treat high-risk patient populations in an acute care setting
• Comfort participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and care coordination
