Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to abnormal rhythms
• Provide skilled Med-Surg nursing care, including medication administration and IV therapy
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care to improve outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Perform required Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain skills checklists
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Act quickly and calmly in emergencies, utilizing BLS and ACLS skills as needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Required pre-employment health screenings: 10-panel drug screen, TB test or IGRA, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Varicella), COVID-19 vaccine, fit test, physical/health statement
• Experience in telemetry and Med-Surg nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Skilled in medication administration, IV management, and post-procedure care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and clinicians
• Ability to maintain composure and prioritize in fast-paced or emergent situations
