Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize care needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications safely and document according to facility policy
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV starts, EKGs and blood draws accurately
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation and charting of nursing interventions
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, initiate resuscitation measures and notify providers
• Support infection control, safety procedures and clean, organized patient areas
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and other departments to ensure smooth patient transfers and continuity of care
• Assist in orientation and education of new staff and participate in monthly staff meetings

Qualifications

• Current California LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; maintain certification during assignment
• Ability to perform manual nursing skills (lifting, bending, walking) and sustain physical stamina
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond in emergency situations
• Dependable, with a history of good attendance and professionalism
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Team player who respects confidentiality and follows chain of command
• Willingness to adhere to facility dress code (Caribbean Blue scrubs required for this role)

Education

• Completion of an accredited Vocational/Practical Nursing program (LVN certificate)

• Patient assessment and individualized care planning
