Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, respond quickly to rhythm changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about condition management and post-discharge care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record clearly and timely

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (or compact state eligibility as applicable)
Experience in telemetry nursing or other acute care cardiac monitoring preferred
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required by facility
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work per diem shifts, adapt quickly, and integrate with established teams

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and acute patient assessment
Familiarity with EMR charting and clinical documentation best practices
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting
Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills
