Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to telemetry patients in a medical-surgical setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts and changes in patient status
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate significant changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and discharge instructions to support recovery

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN licensure as applicable
• Telemetry experience or comfort with cardiac monitoring and interpreting rhythms
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced unit work
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift and provide safe, patient-focused care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Skilled in IV medication administration and common inpatient nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong prioritization and time management in a dynamic unit
• Comfort with bedside patient education and discharge planning
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
