Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery plans
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader hospital community
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner
Support patients experiencing CVA and TIA with attentive, skilled nursing care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with at least 80% within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with total joint replacements, CVA, and TIA patients
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Medical/Surgical nursing fundamentals
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Strong assessment and communication skills
Flexibility to float between units and campuses
