Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate individualized plans of care to improve each resident's daily experience
Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
Uphold safety standards using universal precautions and infection control protocols
Foster a respectful, dignified environment aligned with the Choices Philosophy of Care

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Leadership and team coordination abilities
Commitment to safety and infection control practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dedication to resident-centered care and dignity
