Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery
Independently manage all phases of patient care from admission through discharge
Titrate critical drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Support moms and babies through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum bonding
Collaborate with a close-knit team where every nurse serves as backup for the others
Float to other units as a helping hand when census changes
Respond quickly when the unit shifts from quiet to bustling within a single shift

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for the 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment
Comfort with titrating drips and fetal monitoring interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-aligned patient ratios
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry
Bubble CPAP and stabilization/transfer ventilator experience
Adaptability to fluctuating census and varied patient assignments
Clear communication and teamwork in a small, supportive unit
