Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate intermediate care to cardiac and vascular patients
Titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Nitro, and Nicardipine to support patient stability
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to cardiac changes
Collaborate with cardiology, hospitalists, and intensivists for seamless patient care
Support post-surgical CVICU patients during their first 24 hours of recovery
Float to same-level and lower-acuity units as needed to support the broader team

Qualifications

Active RN license and 1 year of experience with this patient population
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry independently
Willing to complete a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation
Must live outside a 50-mile radius and not be employed by CommonSpirit facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and drip titration expertise
Strong cardiac and vascular assessment skills
Ability to manage multiple drips for blood pressure control
Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula support
Flexible and team-oriented approach to floating assignments
