Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and PCT support team to maintain excellent patient ratios
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skill set across multiple specialties
Complete required SIMs Lab training to master sterile technique for Foley and central line care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
Must have reliable transportation for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Comfortable with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
Proficient in sterile technique for Foley catheter and central line procedures
Excellent assessment skills for cardiac step-down and pre-transplant patients
Flexible and adaptable when floating across telemetry units
