Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem while providing vigilant patient assessment
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units to support colleagues and ensure seamless patient coverage
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to create a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome with strong foundational skills
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology patient management
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
Ventilator management and ICP monitoring
EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred
Alaris IV pump proficiency
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and genuine patient advocacy
