Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to telemetry patients including CHF, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-cath cases
Interpret cardiac rhythms and sign off on strips at least once per shift
Monitor patients on set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support team needs
Educate patients and families about their conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Care for cardiac, respiratory, GI, and diabetic patients
Post-cath and total joint replacement recovery support
Cerner electronic medical record system
Team collaboration with charge nurses and support staff
