Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients throughout antepartum, labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn stages
Administer medications including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics using Alaris IV pumps
Monitor and support mothers and newborns with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 4-bed unit
Collaborate with the charge nurse and team to ensure safe, high-quality care during every delivery
Respond to approximately 100-125 births each year with skill and dedication

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or related areas
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Must pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Valid driver's license required due to 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn care
Comfortable managing common drips such as Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and electronic documentation
Ability to work collaboratively in a small, supportive LDRP unit
