Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips to catch changes early
Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Manage arterial lines and perform advanced assessments for post-stent, post-pacer, stroke, sepsis, and renal-failure patients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient experience scores and communication
Float to MedSurg or ICU when needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient safety by following strict infection-control and fingernail policies

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac medication administration and drip titration
Arterial line management
Strong communication and adaptability
Team collaboration across diverse cultural populations
