Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Titrate and manage complex medication drips including vasopressors, insulin, and sedatives
Monitor and interpret telemetry to detect changes in patient condition
Collaborate with intensivists and the care team to deliver evidence-based interventions
Float to PCU and medical floors as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU nursing experience preferred
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity settings
Proficient with ventilators, BiPAP, and advanced monitoring equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple complex patients while maintaining safety standards
