Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
Perform continual assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients
Administer medications and manage complex IV infusions safely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license as applicable
Recent ICU experience (clinical comfort in high-acuity settings)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or required by facility
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
Ability to work per diem schedule and adapt to varied team assignments

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
BSN preferred but not strictly required

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency with ICU equipment and electronic health records
Familiarity with critical care protocols, cardiac monitoring, and advanced life support
Excellent prioritization and time management in fast-paced environments
Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork abilities
