Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process
• Serve as the operating room circulator—manage the OR environment, anticipate team needs, and ensure patient safety
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and sterile technique standards
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergent surgical needs, including potential holiday coverage

Qualifications

• Current WA nursing license or Multi-State Nursing License (NLC)
• Operating Room circulator experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Ability to work day shifts with variable hours and participate in OR on-call rotations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; patient-centered mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Experience with OR patient safety protocols and surgical instrumentation workflows
• Skill in patient assessment, documentation, and care coordination
• Ability to adapt to variable OR schedules and prioritize tasks under pressure
• Comfortable working in fast-paced surgical environments and supporting multidisciplinary teams
